OPX Ai Expands Operations to Midland, Texas, Bringing AI-Powered IOCaaS to Permian Producers
Former Chevron Engineer Yogashri Pradhan to Lead Expansion as Chief Growth Officer, Aiming to Boost Efficiency and Production for Local Oil & Gas Operators
MIDLAND, Texas – July 18, 2025 – OPX Ai, a provider of AI-driven Intelligent Operations Center-as-a-Service (IOCaaS) solutions for the energy industry, today announced it has expanded its operations to Midland, Texas, effective immediately. The expansion – led by Yogashri Pradhan, a former Chevron engineer who joins OPX Ai as Chief Growth Officer – will bring OPX Ai’s 24/7 remote Intelligence Operations Center capabilities to oil and gas producers throughout the Permian Basin. By leveraging artificial intelligence and real-time analytics, OPX Ai’s IOCaaS helps operators improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and increase production without requiring new in-house infrastructure.
Midland’s oil patch is a strategic focal point for OPX Ai. The Permian Basin is on track to produce over 6 million barrels of oil per day by 2025, underscoring the immense scale – and the pressing need for operational efficiency – in this region. Many producers here are striving to “do more with less” amid tight budgets and lean crews. Even industry giants have demonstrated the value of around-the-clock operations centers: Chevron’s own integrated ops center in Midland has been integral to its goal of reaching 1 million barrels per day in the Permian. Until now, however, similar always-on monitoring and optimization were often out of reach for smaller and mid-sized operators. OPX Ai’s IOCaaS changes that by offering any producer a fully managed, AI-driven “control room” that watches every well, compressor, and tank continuously so their teams can act faster, fix issues sooner, and optimize production across the field.
“I’m thrilled to hit the ground running in Midland and help our local producers unlock more value from their operations,” said Yogashri Pradhan, OPX Ai’s new Chief Growth Officer. “Having worked in Permian Basin fields for years, I know firsthand how a single pump failure or flow hiccup can mean thousands of dollars lost. With OPX Ai’s IOC-as-a-Service, we can spot those issues before they escalate and turn reactive firefighting into proactive optimization. Our platform essentially gives every operator an expert 24/7 eyes-on-glass team – without the hefty cost. I look forward to bringing this capability to Permian operators so we can improve uptime and production outcomes together, right now.”
OPX Ai’s IOCaaS (Intelligent/Integrated Operations Center-as-a-Service) delivers an AI-enhanced remote operations center on a subscription basis. The service monitors real-time data – pressures, temperatures, flow rates, equipment status and more – from across an operator’s wells and facilities. AI algorithms analyze this incoming data stream around the clock, instantly flagging anomalies or optimization opportunities that human crews might miss, especially after hours. Alerts and “actionable insights” are sent to the producer’s team so they can respond immediately to emerging problems (such as a well slugging or a compressor about to fail) and prevent costly downtime. “Our IOCaaS watches every asset 24/7 so your team doesn’t have to – it’s like having an always-alert virtual foreman who never gets tired or distracted,” Pradhan explained. “Importantly, we don’t replace your field personnel; we amplifytheir impact by focusing them on the highest-value tasks at the right time.”
Early deployments of OPX Ai’s technology in other regions have already delivered tangible gains for operators. For instance, an oil & gas producer in Alberta, Canada used OPX Ai’s AI-driven tools to reduce unplanned downtime by 30% and boost production efficiency by 15%, while also cutting operating costs by 10%. These improvements even translated into environmental benefits – the operator reduced CO₂ emissions by 30,000 tons per year through more efficient operations. “Those kinds of results are exactly what Permian Basin producers stand to achieve,” Pradhan noted. “Whether it’s a family-run independent with 50 wells or a larger operator managing thousands, everyone here in West Texas can benefit from less downtime and more uptime. A few percentage points more production or a few days of avoided shutdown can make a huge difference in this market.”
“Expanding to Midland is a major milestone for OPX Ai’s growth and for the region’s producers,”said Jai K. Joon, CEO of OPX Ai. “Midland is the heart of the U.S. oil industry, and we’re excited to partner with operators here to bring a new level of digital efficiency to their fields. Our message to Midland operators is simple: you don’t need to invest in massive control centers or new software platforms to get results. At a time when the oil & gas industry must squeeze more out of every asset, our IOCaaS is a turnkey solution to move from chaos to clarity – it boosts production, reduces downtime, and streamlines operations with no new CapEx required. We’ve designed it to deliver quick wins: from deployment in under 90 days to immediate alerts on day one. Having Yogashri lead our Midland expansion brings invaluable local expertise to our team. She understands the challenges Permian producers face and shares our vision for using AI and data to solve them. Together, we aim to help every Permian operator – not just the supermajors – run as efficiently as possible.”
The Midland expansion is effective immediately, with OPX Ai already engaging producers in the area. The new Chief Growth Officer, Ms. Pradhan, will be based in West Texas to work hands-on with local oil and gas companies. OPX Ai’s presence in Midland will also serve as a hub for its Intelligence Operations Center-as-a-Service support in the Permian. This move follows OPX Ai’s growing track record in other North American basins and recent industry recognition. (At the Global Energy Show 2025, for example, OPX Ai was highlighted for “freeing field teams from reactive firefighting with AI”.) By establishing roots in Midland, OPX Ai is reinforcing its commitment to closely support Permian Basin clients. Local producers can now access world-class, AI-driven operational oversight on a pay-as-you-go model – leveling the playing field with larger competitors and helping unlock greater productivity from existing wells.
